South Ayrshire
Ayr has been a market town and seaside resort on the Firth of Clyde since medieval times, and sits at the heart of 'Burns Country' — Robert Burns was born just outside the town in nearby Alloway. Its long sandy beach and historic racecourse have made it a popular destination on Scotland's south west coast for generations.
